Based in Toronto, David’s passion for storytelling ignited when he was introduced to the films of Bergman and Fellini during his studies at the University of Toronto. His educational journey evolved into a background in Computer Animation, eventually leading him to a successful career as a full-time picture editor. Over the past two decades, David has cultivated a reputation for his exceptional work in documentary, docudrama, factual content, scripted narratives, and comedic editing.

David’s experience as a drummer in the Juno-winning group Do Make Say Think adds a sophisticated musical knowledge to his editing skills, elevating cuts, and earning acclaim for his ability to enhance drama and evoke emotion through music. He has spent more than twenty years refining his talent for extracting nuance and emotional depth from every project he undertakes. His approach is guided by principles of pacing, structure, and character development, along with the teachings of renowned editor Walter Murch.
